UNDER $12 A really nice, simple, summer fruit, Rosé with a great price point!
Where to buy:
Wine.com $12! Check your shipping state for availability & price changes. Shipping costs is about $15.95 for one bottle.
CWSpirits.com unfortunately doesn’t have this gem. But they do have a great selection of other Rosé! I would give Chateau Ste Michelle Rosé a try, it’s $14 and while it is a different grape, (Riesling and not a Grenache) it offers the same hints of peach and strawberry. Use code SipEatRepeat for a 5% discount off any order! CWS.com is a great option if you are looking to ship to a state like MI. Or any other hard to ship to State, their shipping cost is about $16.10 for one bottle.
What I love about the wine
La Vieille Ferme Rosé is a simple straight forward Rosé. This particular bottle was a gift. At first I wasn’t sure I wanted to open it because the bottle was from 2015, so I thought it was expensive. Plus I had no idea what type of wine it was. The color didn’t scream Rosé to me because it is more of a copper than a pale pink. All I knew was, it was French, and looked dry. Well, it is not expensive. It is a little on the dry side, and the 2015 bottle and the 2022 bottle are pretty similar in taste. I can say this because I enjoyed the wine and the price point so much, I had to buy more. I can also say La Vieille Ferme Rosé is that bottle of wine that is safe to keep a few in stock at all times.
When unexpected guests come over and ask if you have any Rosé, go ahead and pull this bottle out. No one has made a pucker face to date when I have served it and for $12 you just can’t go wrong.
But how does it taste?
La Vieille Ferme Rosé, was spot on when it writes, “it has been considered one of the best value for money wines in the world.” it is not a bottle of wine that is going to blow your mind with how amazing it is, but it is a bottle of wine that will make you say, “Wow this is only $12? It is really good.” It is not a complex bottle of wine. It’s simple.
Expect nice notes of strawberry and peach. La Vieille Ferme Rosé is dry and not very sweet at all. It has some earthy tartness to it but I didn’t find it unpleasantly bitter at all.
